One of the most famous Kazakhstan internet portals is Center Tyagesty (bb.ct.kz). It is like a huge internet community where people can participate in different discussions and contribute to every topic they want to. This website represents a net of different chats and forums around one single Kazakhstani company Alser computers.  There are blogs, links to personal websites, forums and chat rooms within this portal. One of the most fascinating features of this website are the rules. On of the reason to visit this website is that people are not censored and the owners of the site do not involve in every single topic on this portal. They can only sometimes check one of them and if any of the participants do not follow the established rules the owner will ban them.  So in order to participate anyone can register, agree with the rules and start their conversations. There is one foxy thing that any participant can write to a special book about any rule breakers. That is how the owners can fight with that sort of people. I personally did not see any of them. Most people write very interesting things about themselves, about different staff. Because of lack of control over this website people can do and say anything they want. And it might not be possible for them to be banned. I personally heard that participants can share their video, music files etc. It is a good place to start searching anything you want to download from the internet or at least can take variety of links where to get what you want.  However it is incorrect to say that this web portal is fully accepts participation. It is not like wikipedia. It is more like a huge forum where a participant can only send a comment not to edit the main message of theme. Consequently I would personally say that there is a web site, a community in Kazakhstan where people can talk, but can not edit any words of each other. On the other side I like the sense of freedom there. Moderators do not edit or check your personal writings. Just try to follow the rules and be active! XD 

Objective thinking vs open communications

 

Wikipedia is a well known online project that has very good structured information. There are thousands of articles that are similar to those encyclopedias published every year, but wiki has more advantages. From the website every visitor can see that Wiki is about everything from history to physics etc. The good thing about online encyclopedia is that it updates every single minute, because it has an open model of communication. People all round the world log in and share their information with other. But Wiki is considered to scientific online book. And it has some rules policies and regulations. Every person can write anything, but it should be credible, out sourced and true. In order to check those writers put the links below the articles and trough out their writings.Is Wiki credible or not? The answer is yes and no. I personally trust this website, because mostly all articles are out sourced and checked somehow by creators of the site and people who participate in writing and creating a good online encyclopedia. Wikipedia has an open structure. Everyone can access to every article after reading it and correct or add something to that. The information is always updating and it is possible that some of it sometimes is not correct. But again people see this material and correct it. The negative effect also lies in the open structure. There will be always vandals who try to collapse the project. They can reach and write anything they like to any article. But you have the same opportunity to correct this vandalism and so do most people round the world. It is very good opportunity to share your personal findings with the community and see how people react to your article, correct you or argue.From our group weblogs I wouldn’t say that we have the same open communication with the audience. The only opportunity people have is to leave their comment. They do not have the chance to correct your article. Also comments can be moderated. And it depends on our objective thinking on whether to publish anyone’s comment or not!

Community I’m currently part of!

When I think of myself as a part of a certain community I always remember my place of work. Currently I’m  a magazine designer who creates visual representation of the magazine. It always keeps me very busy and sometimes I have to leave all other stuff and focus only on my job. Every day I have to communicate with people of different professions who belong to the magazine I’m talking about. These people are journalists, designers, artists, photo editors, PR managers, Marketing managers etc. Each of them influences me directly every time depending on each particular magazine page spreads. I work separately with concept design, creating add spreads and I always have to keep on eye on the text.

This representation model gives me an opportunity to talk and communicate with these different people. Each of them has their own opinion that I have to consider. It’s like move back and force and talk to people in order to create a one single magazine page.

Let us think, create a realistic advertisements for different famous brands. But it must be funny and in the manner that people will like it very much!

Project ideas part2: Lets announce the war of males and females.

2) By doing the group project every participant will post an argument and describe the feelings as a representative of males or females.  It is crusial that every argument will be trustworthy so that people could use them as a guide of relationship between each other. In other words students can write about what they like or dislike in males or females. Using the collected data we can then conclude and let other people add their points to our project and write their disadvantages. Here we may assume that when people write about their sacred disadvantages this means they are trying to get rid of them and they can not only feel them but read and see them online. The good thing about it is that it may help them get rid of the confusion and relaxed. This is only an assumption, but who knows we may find out that it can be true!

1) Is it possible to describe any person’s individuality by looking at his clothes’ colors or any other accesuare’ he/she wear. This is very interesting. Imagine you look at a person who you see first time and describe his individuality by his color selection. This is the idea where we can observe and research and make a non-scientific conclusion about the colors and its description. We can also describe a rage of color tones and how its selection depends on the mood or individuality of any person. Explore the world of colors!

What is journalism?

When I think of a journalism I firstly think of complex expression of my own ideas, thoughts, theories or interpreting someone else’s opinion which, I think, will be interesting for people to know about. Simply it is some kind of a conversation between people of diferent social status, hobbies, interest groups and many other categories of people. Journalism is like a hook that catches only big valuable fish out of deep dark and not fully discovered sea of information.

We may assume that journalism is really an art. It’s like a passion that require more than using simple language rules and write what you think. Every artist always try to be original and express himself through his works. These activities can be compared with lottery. The chances are 50/50 that your works will be recognized by everybody. If so the work of an artist become a masterpiece. The same is with journalism. It is really hard to write something that matters. Every journalist know that. 

Another caracteristic of a journalism is power. Power or authority can be understood as ability of a person to influence masses and make them live, do whatever this person want them to do. Journalism gives this opportunity to anybody. But again in order to influence as much people as possible every journalist should find his own style or technique on how to do that. Everything they write should matters and firstly their information should be highly related to people’s feelings, values and beliefes. Here a journalism should be careful. Playing with these feeling is a dangerous thing, but anyway there will be always people who are pro or against journalist’s writing.

Summarizing everything I previously said a journalism can be caracterized as an art, power and one-way or two way communication. These caracteristics always interact with each other. And how to find the balance between them is another question!
